Adakite POS is the point of sale app restaurants use to take orders, and Adakite KDS is the kitchen display that shows those orders to the kitchen. Adakite is the developer of both. If you ordered from or booked at a restaurant that uses them, or you work at one, this page explains how to have your personal data deleted.
For a customer, deleting your details removes:
Your order history then shows as "Deleted customer". This cannot be undone.
Adakite KDS shows the items on each order to the kitchen and keeps nothing about you of its own, so the same deletion covers it.
The restaurant's records of each sale (items, prices, payments and the date) are kept without your name or contact details, because Australian tax law requires businesses to keep sales records. They are kept for 5 years.
If you work at a restaurant, your hours, pay and employment records are kept for 7 years after they are made, because employers are legally required to keep them. Your employer decides what happens to your other staff details.
Card numbers are never stored in Adakite POS. Payments are handled by the restaurant's card terminal provider and by Stripe for online orders.
Deleted details are removed from our backups within 30 days.
See our Privacy Policy for everything Adakite collects and why.
